Your download has started.
SimplifyPC is on its way to your Downloads folder. Here’s how to open it. Windows asks two quick questions the first time, and that’s normal.
Didn’t start? Download it again.
-
Open the file
When the download is done, click SimplifyPC.exe in your browser’s downloads, or find it in your Downloads folder.
If your browser says the file isn’t commonly downloaded, choose Keep.
-
If a blue box appears, click More info, then Run anyway
Windows shows Windows protected your PC for apps it hasn’t seen many times yet. SimplifyPC is new, so you may see it.
Click More info. The publisher shows as Dustin Beard, the maker of SimplifyPC. Then click Run anyway.
-
Click Yes
Windows asks if SimplifyPC can make changes to your device. It needs this to change Windows settings for you. You’ll see Verified publisher: Dustin Beard.
Click Yes and SimplifyPC opens.
Why does Windows ask? Windows double-checks every app that’s new to it, even safe ones. SimplifyPC is digitally signed, so Windows can check it really comes from us and hasn’t been changed along the way. The blue box shows up less as more people use SimplifyPC.
Nothing changes until you press Start.
When SimplifyPC opens, it looks over your PC and lists every improvement first. Skip anything you’d rather keep, then press Start. A restore point is made before anything changes.
